Behind every image is a moment, a feeling, a reason.
We ask our photographers what made them stop and shoot.
Solace | Mariana
At The Vault Stock, we’ve got a thing for the quiet stuff. The offcuts, the still moments that slip by between the chaos. This collection holds those kinds of images: honest, low key, and steady in their simplicity.
Shot by Mariana, it’s a quiet celebration of the in between. Shadows on walls, fruit on tables, morning light through curtains. Most were taken at home or on slow walks nearby, built not on big concepts but on presence. Together they carry a softness, a hum, a reminder to notice what’s already around us.
Verão | Jade Piper
Some photographers chase perfection. Jade Piper chases feeling. Her work is delicate yet strong, shaped by instinct and emotion. She captures the in-between moments, the quiet strength and subtle defiance that live just under the surface. This Vault Stock collection carries that same charge, brought to life through her muse.
Featured in the Verão collection, the series began after Swim Week in Miami, when Jade connected with runway muse Jasmine. What started on a rooftop with nothing but instinct and energy became some of her most enduring work. Years later, those images remain among her favourites, a reminder of a moment when everything simply flowed.
Aperitivo Hour | Agata Dimmich
At The Vault Stock, we work with photographers who shoot with feeling, not just for a still but for what’s really there. Agata from Vistyle Studio has a quiet sensitivity to her work. She knows how to catch unspoken moments, honest light, real atmosphere and a sense of stillness. This collection marks our opening release of The Vault Stock Journal, where we take a deeper look into the collections with words from our photographers, and Aperitivo Hour sets the tone of what’s inside.
This collection was captured on the coast of Sardegna during golden hour - that delicious moment when the sun softens everything, painting the world in a warm, cinematic glow. The whole atmosphere felt like we’d slipped into a summer film from another time.
That’s exactly what inspired the retro undertones running through the series - a little nostalgic, a little sun-kissed, entirely unhurried.
I wanted the collection to feel evocative and sentimental - like the kind of summer that stays with you long after it’s over. The sound of slow waves and seagulls overhead, vintage accessories catching the light, hair dancing in the breeze, saltwater on skin, and laughter echoing softly against the rocks. There’s something about the Sardinian coast - its wild beauty and quiet charm - that invites you to slow down and just be. I tried to bottle that essence in every frame.
