The Italy Edit | Estero Imagery
Micaela’s lens makes Italy feel close. Not the postcard scenes, but the quick glances, the air just before dusk, the silence between words. Her photos hold both softness and edge, guided by instinct. This Vault Stock collection isn’t about recording a place, it’s about catching a mood. Romantic, textured, and impossible to ignore.
“This collection was captured while travelling through central and southern Italy in 2023, from the timeless streets of Rome to the sunlit coastlines of Scopello, Sicily. Every frame reflects how I saw and experienced the country: authentic, unpolished, and deeply connected to its people and places. I’m drawn not only to the famous blue waters and sweeping views, but also to the quiet details that tell the true story, weathered textures of ancient architecture, soft shadows on worn stone walls, and locals going about their everyday lives.
The series carries a sense of nostalgia and warmth, inviting you to slow down and take it all in. It blends personal memories with fleeting scenes, the shifting light, the sounds, the scents that linger long after you’ve left. There’s something about Italy, its timeless culture, that has stayed with me. Through these images, I’ve tried to preserve that feeling: a visual memory I carry, and one I hope others can connect with too.”
